Nancy Doyle Palmer is a writer born and based in Washington DC and has written for The Atlantic, Washingtonian Magazine, O, The Oprah Magazine , Washington Journalism Review and The Sunday Paper and was a frequent blogger on media, celebrity and film for The Huffington Post for many years. She’s written several screenplays, and her current novel April At Rush Hour, is based on her screenplay Sluglines. To make real money she scripts and helps produce events for a broad selection of non-profit organizations. She’s an exceptional stage manager.

She attended the National Cathedral School for Girls, Boston University and completed graduate work at American University and Yale University. She worked at NBC News where she met her late husband, John Palmer, an anchor and correspondent for NBC News for 40 years;  she has three daughters and six grandchildren and currently lives with novelist Paul Hammond.
